Gives a good smack
A very solid, well built and good looking pickle ball paddle.
I was looking for a paddle that would give me more "pop", instead of absorbing the ball. After reading many reviews, I decided on this one, and love it. I've been playing with it for two weeks now, and play at the 4.5 level.
It took a few sessions to adjust to the composite surface. I like power, and play singles, so this gives me all the speed I need. When I get caught in no man's land moving up step by step towards the net, this paddle allows me to volley balls consistently back across the net into the kitchen. Dinking the ball accurately comes easy with less grip pressure, although every now and then, one gets high on me. The odd shape has no negative effect on the sweet spot at all. The surface imparts top spin and slices easy. The weight feels lighter than 7.8 oz., allows for quick movement at the net, and when driving a punch volley, the ball will rocket back. I like the length, width, and 5" handle. All I did was increase the grip circumference a quarter inch to negate any twisting when hitting an off center ball. For me, this paddle works.
I received my Head Extreme Pro Pickle ball Paddle a day ahead of the indicated date and it went into immediate use. I'm a beginner player but a natural athlete so am finding each time I play - the paddle's getting better! (or is the paddle making me better?) Actually I'm very pleased with it and feel I've made the right decision - the weight seems right, the grip is comfortable and the correct size, plus it seems to have a good size sweet spot. I had used club paddles a couple times before and this is definitely several classes up and likely the only paddle I'll have or need for a long time. Many thanks!
Whether it is all in my head (no pun intended) or the paddle I am having better success with this one.
Sweet spot seems to be bigger. Lightweight is a huge plus.It has a great feel, like an extension of my hand. LOL
Easier to maneuver to make it easier and quicker to get to the next ball coming at you.
This is my third paddle and the best. (in my opinion)
