Engage 'Elite Pro' Maverick

Product Description

Description

The 'Elite Pro' Maverick has been one of the top selling paddles since it's debut at the 2017 US Open.  It was the paddle of choice of the Engage Pros that won the most Pro-level medals back to back at the 2017 & 2018 US Open and the last USAPA Nationals.

The Maverick takes the Elite Pro winning heritage and engineering it to the next level.  Creating a paddle with no boundaries.

The 'Elite Pro' is one of the most powerful paddles, with the largest sweet spots, spin capability and control/feel.  Engage took this paddle to new heights.  By using engineering methodologies and simulation engines, they created a paddle with:

  • more power and ability to keep the ball in at these higher speeds by creating more spin and flex in the paddle.  We call it 'Variable Release Flex Technology'.
  • additional spin by extending the Elite Pro grip from 5 inches to 6 inches.  This creates more torque (hence more power and spin to keep the ball in).  Not too mention the added benefit to two handed players.
  • more reach by extending the length of the paddle to 16.5 inches (0.5 inches longer to put the paddle right between length wise of standard 16 inch length paddles and the Blade style 17 inch paddles).
  • the largest sweet spot and blocking ability by reducing the Elite Pro width only 1/4 inches from each side which created more solidity.

By creating a paddle that has the optimal length (16.5 inches which sits right between standard paddles and elongated) and width (7.5 inches making it the widest paddle at this length) it creates a paddle with the most reach, largest sweet spot (blocking ability), power, spin and feel of any paddle.

No doubt, the Maverick takes paddle design to new levels.  It also comes in six (6) great colours.  The background colour is Graphite with the option of the Red, Purple, Metallic, Blue, Black and Orange fades.

Engage is known for investing the most in R&D.  Being the only paddle manufacturer with a full time Engineer and Scientist on staff creating a new prototypes every 7-10 days.  The NEW Maverick, is an output from this dedication to creating paddles to take your game to the next level.

Engage Elite Pro Maverick

This paddle requires a light touch, if you can hold off smashing the ball, you'll be rewarded with some pretty nice shots.

The perfect paddle, a lot of control of the ball, very fast for the short game in the kitchen and shots with a lot of power ..

Engage Maverick Paddle Purchase

Bought this Paddle on a Friday when most of you were at the Kelowna Tournament, Cara (Cinderella) was left behind and was very helpful and cheerful. Had some serious problems adopting my serve to the longer but same weight paddle, now really enjoying it, extra leverage means less effort and more accuracy, and still seems quick at the net in fast volley exchanges.

Engage Elite Pro Maverick

Pickleball Depot is a great place to deal with. The Engage Maverick didn’t suit my game but Pickle Depot allowed me to send it back and exchange it for The Engage Elite Pro paddle. This is the only company that I will ever deal with. They are really knowledgeable and patient. Steve

Not up to the hype

I have been using my Maverick paddle for 3 weeks now. It has taken some time to adjust to the longer handle and narrower face. The grip material got sweaty and bothersome so it was changed for a honeycomb style material which I like better.
The Maverick paddle is not particularly quiet as claimed by Engage. Actually there is very little of Engage’s advertising hype that was observable in practice (sweet spot, spin, control, etc. ). Considering the exaggerated marketing hype and price of this paddle maybe I was expecting too much but I did not find that this paddle took my game to the ‘next level’. It is a quality competitive paddle but performance is not a cut above some less expensive graphite paddles I have used.
I do like the subdued graphics on the Maverick.
