I'm a 4.0+ player been playing 5 years. I've tried a fair number of paddles in those years, and this is one of my favourites. I'm more of a control player than a smash player. I find this paddle is so light and swift that it makes a huge difference with hand battles for me, taking me from almost never winning hand battles against certain opponents, to now winning almost every single one against those same players. Other than that, it has a medium sweet spot, medium power, but decent control. The technology really does help with tennis elbow, allowing me to play every day where i wouldn't be able to otherwise. I'm over 6' and mid-40's and pretty strong/fit, and I truly find this super light paddle to make a difference defending at the net, i would imagine many of the older female players I meet playing pickleball would see a tremendous difference if struggling with reflex time. It has perhaps the lowest swing weight ever measured in a pickleball paddle which has made me a big fan of it. i tried both shapes and if you blindfolded me, i wouldn't be able to tell the difference, so don't be scared of the oval shape, it should be slightly more aerodynamic in theory, lowering the swing weight. i enjoyed both shapes equally.
So far it’s great. Nice and light. Very lively. I wish it came with a cover though.
So far I am satisfied. I was looking for a light weight racket to ease arthritis in my hand.
Too soon to make the final judgment, but a great racket, I love to play with it.

**ProKennex's manufacturing process produces the least amount of variance in the industry. The majority of companies produce their paddles and then weigh what has been produced: Their studies have found that paddles significantly below the 8oz threshold deliver unnecessary shock to the arm, while paddles significantly above the 8oz threshold, while more arm protective, become too cumbersome to move quickly. Their weight range exists in this middle sweet spot. They have done your homework for you.
Paddles are covered for 1 year against manufacture's defects of original purchaser (non transferable). Please note this warranty does not cover wear and tear on the edging.
